Talking About Ability

"Can you swim?" "I can play the guitar." The word CAN is a superpower in English. It expresses ability and possibility. Hobbies are how we connect with people outside of work.

Describing Interests "I am interested in photography." "I am into gaming." "I enjoy cooking." Note the prepositions: interested IN, into, enjoy (no preposition). These small grammar points make you sound natural.

Learning New Things Life is learning. "I am learning to code." "I am taking piano lessons." Describing your process shows you are a growing person. It is an attractive quality in both friends and employees.

Talent vs. Practice "She is talented" vs. "She practices hard." We often discuss whether skill comes from nature or hard work. It is a great conversation topic. describing your own skills with humility ("I'm okay at it") vs. arrogance is a social art.
