The Human Body
Health is wealth. You need to be able to mention parts of your body to a doctor or a gym trainer. "My arm hurts," "I have a headache," "I want to build muscle."
Common Ailments "I have a cold," "I have the flu," "I feel sick." Note that we say "HAVE a cold" but "BE sick." Small grammar differences change the meaning. "I am cold" means you need a jacket. "I have a cold" means you need medicine!
Exercise vocabulary "Workout," "jog," "lift weights," "stretch." The gym has its own language. Understanding it helps you stay fit and safe. "No pain, no gain" is a famous idiom here.
At the Pharmacy You don't always need a doctor. Pharmacies sell "medicine," "pills," "bandages," and "vitamins." Asking the pharmacist for advice is common practice.
