Painting with Words

Facts tell, stories sell. Whether you are writing a novel or a marketing email, you need narrative. It hooks the brain.

Show, Don't Tell Don't say "He was angry." Say "He slammed the door and clenched his fists." Let the reader deduce the emotion. It creates engagement.

Character Arc A character must change. They start one way, face a challenge, and end another way. This is the "Hero's Journey." Without change, there is no story.

Voice and Tone Is your story dark? Funny? Sarcastic? Hopeful? Your "Voice" is your unique fingerprint on the page. Finding it takes years of practice.
