Question Everything

Critical thinking is the ability to analyze information objectively and form a reasoned judgment. It is the antidote to fake news.

Correlation vs. Causation Just because two things happen together doesn't mean one caused the other. Ice cream sales and shark attacks both go up in summer. Does ice cream cause shark attacks? No. The sun causes both.

Confirmation Bias We love information that agrees with us. We ignore information that proves us wrong. Fighting this instinct is the hardest part of thinking.

The Socratic Method Teaching by asking questions. "Why do you think that?" "What evidence do you have?" It exposes the gaps in our logic.
