The Psychology of Leadership

There is no one way to lead. The best leaders adapt their style to the situation. Are you a General or a Coach?

Autocratic vs. Democratic

  • Autocratic: "Do as I say." Fast decision making, but low morale. Good for crises.
  • Democratic: "What do you think?" High engagement, but slow. Good for innovation.

Servant Leadership The leader serves the team, removing obstacles so they can succeed. It flips the pyramid. It builds massive loyalty.

Transformational Leadership Inspiring change. Charismatic leaders like Steve Jobs who demand the impossible. High risk, high reward.
