Feeding 10 Billion 🍔

Agriculture uses 70% of freshwater and causes deforestation (cutting trees to graze cows). Livestock, especially cattle, produce Methane, a potent GHG.

To feed a growing population without destroying the planet, we need a 'Protein Transition'.

  • Plant-based meat: Burgers made of pea/soy (Impossible, Beyond).
  • Cultivated Meat (Lab-grown): Growing real muscle tissue in a bioreactor from cells. No slaughter needed.
  • Vertical Farming: Growing crops indoors in stacked layers using LED lights. Uses 95% less water.

Will consumers accept this? The 'Yuck Factor' is the main barrier.
