Running Dry 💧

Water is life, but fresh water is running out. Climate change disturbs the water cycle, causing 'Megadroughts' in some places and floods in others. 'Aquifers' (underground water reserves) are being pumped dry by agriculture.

Conflict arises over 'Transboundary Rivers' (rivers crossing borders). If Ethiopia builds a dam on the Nile, Egypt gets less water. Tension rises.

Solutions includes 'Desalination' (turning seawater into fresh water, energy-intensive) and 'Wastewater Recycling' (cleaning toilets water to drinkable standards - 'Toilet to Tap'). We must treat water as a precious commodity, not a limitless right.
