Privacy vs Security 👁️

How much privacy should we sacrifice for safety? 'Mass Surveillance' uses technology—CCTV with Facial Recognition, AI monitoring of internet traffic, and GPS tracking—to monitor citizens.

Governments argue this is necessary to stop terrorists and criminals. In some smart cities, it effectively reduces crime and creates efficiency. However, in authoritarian regimes, it is used to suppress 'Dissent' (disagreement). The 'Social Credit System' concept, where citizens are scored on behavior, terrifies civil liberties groups.

Encryption enters the debate here. Tech companies use 'End-to-End Encryption' so even they cannot read your messages. Governments demand 'Backdoors' to see what criminals are saying. Companies refuse, saying a backdoor for police is a backdoor for hackers too.
