Who Does What? 🏗️

English word order is strict. 90% of sentences follow this pattern:

Subject + Verb + Object (SVO)

  • Subject: The person/thing doing the action.
  • Verb: The action.
  • Object: The thing receiving the action.

Examples:

  • I (S) + Eat (V) + Pizza (O).
  • John (S) + Kicked (V) + The Ball (O).
  • Cats (S) + Like (V) + Milk (O).

If you mix this up ("Pizza eat I"), you sound like Yoda. Don't be Yoda.
