We can use Present Continuous for the future too!

Use it for Fixed Arrangements—usually involving other people and a specific time/place.

"I am meeting John at 6pm."
"We are flying to Tokyo on Tuesday."

It is very similar to 'Going To', but stronger. It's 99% happening.
