How Long? ⏳

When we talk about unfinished actions (Action started in past, continues now), we use Present Perfect with For and Since.

  • FOR + Duration (A length of time).
    • For 20 minutes, For 3 days, For a long time, For 10 years.
    • "I have lived here for 10 years."
  • SINCE + Starting Point (When it began).
    • Since 9:00am, Since Monday, Since 1990, Since I was born.
    • "I have lived here since 2014."
