Done or Doing? 🏁

Comparing Present Perfects:

  1. Simple: Focus on Result / How Many / Completion.
    • "I have written 3 emails." (Result: 3 emails done).
  2. Continuous: Focus on Process / How Long / Activity.
    • "I have been writing emails all morning." (Focus on the work).

Remember: Stative verbs (Know, Like, Be) cannot be continuous!

  • Right: "I have known him for years."
  • Wrong: "I have been knowing..."
