Structures

1. X is twice as big as Y.
2. X is substantially larger than Y.
3. X followed a similar pattern to Y.
4. In comparison to X, Y is minute.
5. The discrepancy between X and Y is negligible.

Modifiers

• Use adverbs: Significantly, slightly, marginally, far, much.

Practice

Rewrite: "A is 100. B is 50."

• "A is exactly double B."
• "B is half the size of A."
