When Word 1 ends in a consonant and Word 2 starts with the SAME (or very similar) consonant, we DO NOT say it twice. We say it ONCE, but hold it longer.
- Red Dress -> Re-Dress (Long D).
- Black Cat -> Bla-Cat (Long K).
- Stop pushing -> Sto-Pushing (Long P).
- Feel lucky -> Fee-Lucky (Long L).
